Task
One of the world's largest aluminum producers approached AGS for a reliable compressed air dryer. Air is used to operate the pneumatic actuators of aluminum casting equipment. The main requirements were the reliability and stability of the dryer, complete automation of the drying process with connection to the customer's automated process control system and the release of dried air at a pressure of 3 bar.
Solution
AGS engineers designed an adsorption compressed air dryer with hot regeneration. All dryer systems are arranged on a single frame, which ensures compactness, ease of delivery and movement. The dryer control system is implemented on the basis of Simatic S7 controllers, with a Siemens operator panel with a touch interface. The control system incorporates Ethernet ports with a transfer rate of at least 100 Mbps.
